Jennifer represents the City of Omaha on matters related to real estate development, land use, zoning, public property and transportation, historic preservation and landmarks, code enforcement, tax increment and bond financing, land banks, drafting state legislation and local ordinances, representation of the Planning Department, Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals and other municipal boards, as well as civil and appellate litigation related to real estate, land use and construction matters. She has held her position as Assistant City Attorney since 2014.

Prior to working for the City of Omaha, Jennifer was in private practice where she focused on creditor’s rights, corporate, transactional and real estate matters, including commercial property development, land use, zoning, construction, and public financing, in addition to representation of lending institutions in workouts and asset recovery.

She is a frequent speaker on matters related to commercial real estate and is the author of numerous publications regarding real estate development and land use. She volunteers on numerous boards in the Omaha Area including as a Commissioner for the Omaha Housing Authority, the Curriculum Committee for Leadership Omaha, and the Nebraska Humane Society, in addition to past service with Dundee Memorial Park Neighborhood Association, Omaha Opera Guild and the Omaha Community Playhouse.

Jennifer received a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York and a Juris Doctor from Creighton University.
