Matt was elected to the Board of Trustees of Dakota REIT and has served on its Investment Council since 2015. He was elected President of Dakota REIT in 2021 and is responsible for executing the strategic plan, defining investment criteria and leading capital raise efforts. Matt is a partner and managing member of Dakota REIT Management, LLC serving as the advisor of Dakota REIT. Matt became a Certified Public Accountant in 1996 and was employed by Arthur Andersen’s Washington, D.C. office from 1996 to 1998 where he focused on private equity, real estate and securities offerings. In 1998, Matt joined Great Plains Software which was acquired by Microsoft in 2001. His career at Microsoft involved consulting, mergers and acquisitions, business management and strategy enablement. After 17 years at Microsoft, Matt acquired ownership of Ludvigson Braun & Co. in 2015 which is a CPA firm providing tax, accounting and management advisory services to clients nationwide.
