Tim Ulbrich is the Senior Regional Director of Commercial Mortgage and Real Estate Investments at Mutual of Omaha. Ulbrich joined Mutual of Omaha in 2017 as Regional Director responsible for sourcing and underwriting commercial real estate mortgage loan investments under a young lending platform, primarily covering the western half of the United States. For much of his tenure, Ulbrich was the top producer responsible for sourcing and underwriting loans totaling just under $3 billion. Since joining Mutual of Omaha, the firm’s commercial mortgage portfolio nearly doubled to just over $6.5 billion. During his career, Ulbrich underwrote hundreds of commercial / multifamily transactions totaling over $4 billion.

Prior to joining Mutual of Omaha, Ulbrich served in numerous roles at StanCorp Financial Group in Portland, Oregon for twelve years. These roles included Loan Officer, Head of Investor Relations, and culminated in a role as Senior Loan Officer. Prior to his time at StanCorp, Ulbrich was a Financial Advisor for A.G. Edwards (now Wells Fargo) in Champaign, Illinois, a Financial Systems Analyst at LaSalle Partners (now JLL (Jones Lang LaSalle)) and a Staff Accountant at KPMG, both in Chicago. Ulbrich’s 32 years of experience in the financial sector includes 20 years in the commercial mortgage loan industry.

Ulbrich received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois – Urbana-Champaign and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Portland.
